“Listen to the filth that comes from their mouths; their words cut like swords. ‘After all, who can hear us?’ they sneer. But LORD, you laugh at them. You scoff at all the hostile nations.”
Psalms 59:7-8 NLT

Words can hurt deeply. Sometimes people speak against us, accuse us, mock us, and use words that cut like a sword. They may even think no one hears them and no one will question what they say.

But thank God, this scripture reminds us that God hears every word.

People may feel powerful by what they speak against you, but their words do not intimidate God. While they speak proudly, God sits above it all and laughs at their plans.

So be encouraged today. You do not have to answer every word spoken against you or defend yourself before everyone. God hears what you hear, and He even hears what you do not hear. He knows the truth, and He knows how to defend you.

Let the words of people fall to the ground, but let the Word of God stand over your life.

Prayer:
Lord, help me not to be shaken by the words spoken against me. Remind me that You hear, You know the truth, and You are my defender. Let Your Word have the final authority over my life. Amen.
