“So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest all around.”
2 Chronicles 20:30 ESV

Who doesn’t like rest in this busy ever running world. We spend thousands to go to places to rest and break from the routine of our life
Those seem to be a brief reset of life even still there are s0 many things
Can still linger around.
Perfect rest only God can provide.
King Jehoshaphat when surrounded by the enemies, he fasted and gathered the people of Israel

“and said, “O Lord, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you.”
2 Chronicles 20:6 ESV
The king is not reminding the almighty about his power and might but is reminding himself and the people that the same God who drove the enemies away then IS able to drive away now to give rest.
This king was not courageous enough to face the enemies but confident enough that God will give his people the victory.

This king continues to pray like this

“‘If disaster comes upon us, the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before you—for your name is in this house—and cry out to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.’”
2 Chronicles 20:9 ESV
This king was a successful during the time of the war, yet he did not trust in his own might but the might of the soverign God.

The story ended like this they did not left a finger aga inst to fight the battle it was already won. They plunder was too much for those people of God to carry back home and they called if the valley of blessing, berachah.

The realm of this king began with fear, loss, defeat but the bible says it ended up in rest all around. The Battle rested every corner of the realm ot king Jehoshaphat.

This is so encouraging to know that we have a God who gives rest in our battle.
Be reminded i that the God who red the king jehoshapath will I also lead you in to the valley of berachah and give you rest In every corner.
