“The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.”
Deuteronomy 28:12 (ESV)

Lack is not the portion of the children of God. When God is involved, increase is unavoidable.

The Bible says that the silver and the gold belong to Him, and He opens the windows of heaven to bless His people.

God called Abraham with a promise to bless and increase him. Abraham prospered in every way and possessed abundant livestock, silver, and gold. Job was loved by God and was greatly blessed. Isaac became so prosperous that his wealth threatened the locals, and they asked him to move away from their land. King David and his son Solomon were among the wealthiest men who ever lived on earth. The anointing upon their lives was accompanied by material blessings as well.

Some give the impression that God is not for the wealthy or that He does not care to bless His people with material prosperity. But the riches and prosperity of this world belong to Him, and He blesses whom He pleases. He blesses His people out of the delight of His heart.

He is a God who knows how to bless you in the right season. He knows the proper time to release His blessings into your life. Heavy rain during the harvest season brings destruction; likewise, untimely blessings can become a disaster. God, in His wisdom, gives according to His perfect timing.

When you obey His commandments, the Bible says that He will bless the work of your hands. Your hands will lend and not borrow. Your hands will overflow with abundance. Your hands will have more than enough so that you may bless others.

You are not greedy when you seek God’s blessing. It is your inheritance as His child. A child has every confidence to ask his Father when he is in need.

When God blesses you, be content with the measure of blessing He has given you at the right time. He expects you to honor Him with your wealth and to remember the poor and the needy. Wealth is not merely for comfort but also for stewardship and generosity.

May the Lord open His good treasury, the storehouses of heaven, and pour out His blessings upon you. May He bless the work of your hands, establish you in the land where you live, and make you a channel of blessing to many.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You because You are the source of every good and perfect gift.Bless the work of my hands according to Your Word, and let my life reflect Your goodness and generosity. Open Your good treasury over my life, and let Your favor rest upon me according to Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
