“In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover.”
**‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The Lord’s Passover redefined the way the world saw the people of Israel. There had never been an event like this before, nor would there ever be another like it. The plagues before the Passover may have left the people disappointed one after another, but this instruction was different. It was an instruction to exit.

Even before the blood of the lamb was applied to the doorposts, God commanded them to have their belts fastened, their sandals on their feet, and their staff in their hands. These were all signs of preparation to move from one place to another. They were also instructed to eat in haste, revealing a sense of urgency—to be ready to respond and move the moment God acted.

The Lord was certain that He would deliver His people and change their destiny forever, but it would not have been possible if they had refused to act in faith and obedience. They had to prepare themselves to step into what God had already prepared for them.

Many times, God gives you instructions before your breakthrough arrives. What may seem like an ordinary act of obedience today is often preparation for an extraordinary miracle tomorrow. Faith does not only believe God’s promises; it also prepares for their fulfillment. When God says, “Move,” do not delay. Be ready, for your season of deliverance may come sooner than you expect.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the God who delivers and fulfills every promise. Give me a heart that responds with immediate faith and obedience. Remove every fear, hesitation, and delay from my life. May I be ready to walk into the destiny You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
