“Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.”
Revelation 4:1-2 ESV

When you go to great heights, the view becomes clearer and the landscape appears much more beautiful to the human eye. But in the Spirit, when God calls us to come up higher, something even more significant is revealed.
Moses was called up to Mount Sinai, where God revealed His laws for the people of Israel. Jesus took His disciples up the mountain, and they witnessed His transfiguration. To all believers in Jesus Christ, we are also called to go up higher.
Going up does not literally mean climbing a mountain. It means growing higher in the Spirit and deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. God desires to reveal mysteries and secret things to us—not at the altitude where everyone is, but in the attitude where He desires to meet us.
As we grow deeper in fellowship with Him, we keep climbing higher and higher in the Spirit to meet Jesus face to face. God longs for such intimate moments with us, where He can share His glory, His desires, and His instructions.
As we do so, not everyone can accompany us to the place where God wants to deal with us. Moses went alone. Abraham went only with Isaac. Jesus took only three of His disciples to witness His glory. There are certain encounters with God that are personal and reserved for those who are willing to draw closer to Him.
Go up and meet Jesus at His throne. Leave behind every distraction, every weight, and every fear. There is a higher place in Christ where revelation is greater, faith is stronger, and His presence becomes sweeter than ever before.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us into a deeper relationship with You. Draw us higher in the Spirit and reveal Your glory, Your wisdom, and Your purpose for our lives. Lead us into the secret place where we can know You more and walk closely with You each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
