“Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In His presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared Him and always thought about the honor of His name.”
Malachi 3:16 NLT

God delights when we honor Him; He dwells among His people who sing praises to Him.
When the godly have conversations, they exercise faith. They recall His faithfulness, speak about the goodness of God, and encourage each other through testimonies that uplift. In all these, the name of God is exalted and honored. Conversations like these are found noble in the eyes of God. He chooses such noble moments to record names in a scroll in His presence.
Something that is recorded is a proof and a reference that cannot be forgotten.
The minds of the ungodly are set on the things of the world and the works of the world. Their conversations reflect what fills their hearts. When they speak, their words may center on others or on fears, often stirring anger and increasing bitterness. By the end of such conversations, there is disappointment, and it brings no benefit to anyone.
The Bible reminds us that every word that comes out of our mouth is accountable, and words that honor God are never forgotten. May you be remembered and recorded in His kingdom by speaking what is right and pleasing to Him.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to guard my words and fill my heart with what honors You. Let my conversations reflect Your goodness, bring encouragement to others, and glorify Your name. May my words be pleasing in Your sight and remembered in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
