“Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14 NLT

Before Esther was made a queen, she was an ordinary girl—an orphan under the care of her uncle. She was chosen and set apart to be prepared for royalty. A girl with no knowledge of how the kingdom operated was shaped into a queen who would play a vital role in its future.
She was given special care to enhance her appearance. She was trained to carry herself with grace and wisdom. Over time, she became familiar with the palace, encountered those who would one day serve alongside her, and learned the rhythms and expectations of the kingdom. Through this season of preparation, she found favor in the eyes of the king and became his queen.
When the enemy plotted to destroy the Jewish people, God gave Esther the opportunity to use the authority and position He had entrusted to her. God could have used anyone, yet Esther was given the privilege to take part in His divine plan.
Esther chose to step into her authority by first turning to fasting and prayer. She called others to join her in corporate prayer. Strengthened by God, she approached the king in a moment that could have cost her life. But God intervened. Esther found favor, and the decree meant for destruction was reversed. What was intended for harm was turned for good because of Esther’s obedience and God’s favor.
Every ordinary person carries an Esther-like authority in the place and among the people where God has positioned them. God is preparing you for such a time as this—that through you, deliverance may come to your family, change may come to your workplace, and transformation may come to your neighborhood.
All that you are, and all that you are going through, is part of a preparation. In due time, it will crown you for such a time as this—to rescue, to deliver, to heal, and to walk in victory.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the seasons of preparation in my life. Help me to trust Your process, even when I do not fully understand it. Strengthen me to walk boldly in the authority You have given me. Let Your favor rest upon me, and may Your purpose be fulfilled through my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
