“My people will live in safety, quietly at home. They will be at rest.”

Isaiah 32:18 NLT

Safety, peace, and rest is an inheritance from God to the child of God.

This is the promise of God that even when the place or the circumstances may look otherwise, the peace of God will surpass all understanding. Even when things look different, and even when things feel different, His peace remains.

This promise is revealed through the life of David, a mighty warrior who was always surrounded by enemies trying to defeat him and kill him.

But David overcame it all.

Not by his talent or by his might, but it was the Lord God who kept him in safety and in a secure dwelling.

David, wrote many songs declaring that the Lord Almighty is his fortress, his refuge, and his stronghold.

This promise says, “My people,” which is you and me.We also can have a dwelling place that is safe and secure.Amidst the country, the community, and the neighborhood we live in, God will keep you in His peace and safety.

Like David, like Solomon, we too can be at rest, in safety, in peace, and live a life filled with quietness and calmness as we believe in His promises and rely on His unconditional love.

Prayer:

Lord, You are my safety, my peace, and my rest.

Keep me in Your safe dwelling.Let Your peace rule my heart even when circumstances look otherwise.Help me to trust You and rest in You fully.
