“No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.”

Psalms 25:3 NLT

For children of God, disgrace is never their portion.

After Adam and Eve were deceived by the serpent, for the first time they experienced shame—something they had never known since they were created. From that moment on, the enemy has used every means he could to bring disgrace upon the children of God.

Yet the Bible reveals a deeper truth: every time the enemy tries to bring shame, God steps in to reveal His sovereignty. What the enemy intends for disgrace, God turns into a display of His glory.

The serpent may have thought that the disgrace he brought upon Adam and Eve was enough to keep them separated from God forever. But there was a divine turn in the story. The merciful Father, in His steadfast love, had already prepared a plan. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to deal with that shameful and disgraceful condition once and for all—defeating the enemy on the cross and restoring what was lost.

The Bible declares that those who trust in Jesus Christ will never be put to shame. This promise is repeated throughout Scripture to assure us that in every circumstance—no matter how difficult—the children of God will not be disgraced.

Even in your lowest moment, as you trust in the Lord, He will turn every disgrace into a double portion of blessing. He will take every deceitful tongue that rises against you and turn it into honor, for His glory.

God works in such a way that even temporary shame is never wasted—it is turned for your good. What looks like disgrace today will become a testimony tomorrow.

You will not be put to shame as you place your trust in Jesus.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank You that disgrace is not my portion because I belong to You. Even when the enemy tries to bring shame into my life, You step in with Your sovereignty and turn it for my good. I place my full trust in Jesus Christ, knowing that through Him I will never be put to shame.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
