“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
Jeremiah 33:3 ESV

This scripture is called the telephone number of heaven, where your call is never missed.
This is a line that always has strong signal, in every condition.
A person who says, “Call me anytime,” might miss your call when you need them most, in times of need or danger. But when God says, “Call to Me,” He will surely answer.
He can be everything to you at all times. You don’t have to call Him only when you need help. He can be your comforter, your counselor, and your ever-present help.
Our God is sovereign. Nothing is hidden from Him, and no one can hide anything from Him. He knows what has been in the past and what will be in your future. He reveals what we cannot see.
According to this scripture, God will tell you great and hidden things.
There was a time when I was house hunting, and it was extremely difficult to find a home due to low inventory. People were bidding over the asking price.
I saw a house and fell in love with it. It had almost everything I asked for, but it felt a little aloof. I am someone who likes to see people around me, and this house seemed to miss that. Still, I loved it. We went back and forth and informed the realtor that we liked the house and would sign the agreement the next day.
I came home, but I did not feel peace in my heart. Even though I loved the house, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity because of the limited options. I thought it was just fear of the unknown.
I prayed the whole night, asking God to speak to me and reveal things to me, because I had to sign the agreement by noon the next day. Once you sign an agreement, it is almost like you have bought the house, and backing out comes with penalties.
The time had come. I filled out the agreement papers, but before I could send them to the realtor, I received a call from a friend. He was returning from a playground. We had told him about the house as soon as we saw it.
He asked me, “Are you sure you want to buy this house?” I was confused but confidently said yes. Knowing me and how I don’t like isolated homes, he said, “This house is next to a huge cemetery.”
I told him there was no way, because I had only seen the front view of the house. But he had seen it from the back route. Behind the house, separated by just one wall, was a huge cemetery stretching almost half a mile, along with a funeral home.
There are people who don’t mind living next to a cemetery, but that was not something I was comfortable with. It was hidden from my view.
At that moment, I realized how God answers—He reveals what we cannot see, at the right time, in the right way.
I thanked God immediately and dropped the plan of sending the agreement to the realtor.
Later, God blessed us with a house that had everything I preferred and loved.
My call was not missed. When I asked God to reveal and answer, He did—right on time. It was only a matter of moments before I could have signed that agreement.
I share this testimony to remind you that we serve a God who answers every plea and every petition. He reveals mysteries, secrets, and things hidden from us.
So whether you call on anyone else for help or not, never forget to call on the name of the Lord. He may answer through His peace, through His Word, or even through someone around you—but there will always be a response. It will comfort you, guide you, and show you the way.
Your call will never end up as a missed call.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for always hearing me when I call. Thank You for answering me and revealing things that I cannot see on my own. Teach me to trust. Help me to depend on You and to recognize the ways You speak, even through others. Remind me that You are always near, always listening, and always faithful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
