“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT

The way God has created everything is in order. In His wisdom, He formed the earth, just as the Bible says.
In all His creation, everything has its season. Here in the New England area, the changing seasons are beautifully displayed. In every season there is a unique beauty. The way the land transforms is amazing to watch, revealing the work of God in His perfect understanding. Nothing is forgotten in any season.
During one spring, my husband was mowing the lawn in our fenced backyard, which borders the woods. It is common for us to see foxes, bears, coyotes, bobcats, and many other animals throughout the seasons.
While mowing the lawn, our dog became restless and tried to signal him. At first, we did not understand, but his persistence made us curious, so we followed his cues. He led us to a spot in the middle of the lawn. When we looked closely, we saw newborn baby wild rabbits. At first, we thought there was only one, but as we gently moved aside the hay, sticks, and the warm covering the mother had placed, we discovered a whole group of babies.
The mother had dug a deep nest in the grass and preserved the lives of her little ones. When we called animal control, they told us to leave them there—the mother would return, feed them, and then move them. The next morning, it happened exactly as they had said.
Even in what we could not see, preparation had already taken place. In one season, a place was prepared. In another, life was brought forth. And in the next, they were carried forward. Season after season, God’s order remains.
In the same way, God has given adaptability to all creation to go through the seasons of life. Seasons are only for a short while. According to the Word of God, your season will change in His time.
Sarah went through a season of shame before she delivered the promise of God. The people of Israel walked in the wilderness for a season before entering a land flowing with milk and honey. A shepherd boy went through seasons of humiliation, rejection, and failure before being established in a kingdom that would last.
Likewise, your season of tears will change into a season of joy.
The grace of God will sustain you in every season. He will prepare you and strengthen you for what is ahead. The season may change, but God’s plan does not change. In every season, He is working His plan for your good.
Do not be discouraged in the season you are living in. Be encouraged. Embrace the season you are in, knowing it is leading you into the one ahead.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the God of every season. Help me to trust Your timing when I cannot see the whole picture. Strengthen me to remain steady in every season, knowing You are working all things for my good. Teach me to embrace where I am and to trust where You are leading me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
