“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV

These days, we can see that motivational speaking is a trend. There are some talented motivational speakers who truly bring goosebumps when we listen to them. They motivate you in such a way that you feel like you can change the world overnight. It may resonate for that night, but the next day it often fades away.
Many motivational speakers do not even practice what they preach. They do not always speak from their own life experiences, but rather rely on charisma—good at holding and engaging a crowd for that moment of listening.
I don’t really believe they can transform everyone’s life who is listening, because with many of these messages, we tend to forget easily what was said. We cannot even listen to the same motivational speech more than once because we easily become bored.
Unlike all the effective motivational speakers put together, there is one—one Godhead, one Holy Spirit—whose life-giving words transform every life that hears and believes. Unlike human motivational speakers, Jesus Christ lived as the perfect example, and the words He spoke came out of His life-giving Spirit. They are not mere words, but words of life. The Bible says every word in Scripture is breathed by God and helps us walk in righteousness for every good work.
Jesus Christ is the Word of God who came in the flesh and dwelt among us. This is not just another book, but The Book that speaks directly into our situations. It gives life, it reforms, it resonates, and it revives us from perishing. There are millions of people who can testify how God rescued them through His Word.
The Word of God brings healing like medicine. It is living and active. It is a lamp and a light. It is more than bread to eat. And the Word of God stands forever, unchanging and faithful in every season.
Spending time meditating on the Word of God is just as important as spending time in prayer. In this way, you speak to God and also hear from God, experiencing a complete fulfillment of time in His presence.
There is no one better than the Holy Spirit who can truly motivate you, encourage you, and save you from death. There is nothing against words from secular motivational speakers, but they are no match for the life-giving Word of God. The Bible says the words spoken by God will never return void to the Father until they accomplish what was spoken.
So be motivated, daily and continually, by the eternal Word of God, breathed by the Spirit of God.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your living Word that gives life, brings healing, and transforms hearts. Help me to hunger for Your Word daily and to meditate on it deeply. Teach me to walk in righteousness and to hear Your voice clearly. Holy Spirit, guide me, encourage me, and strengthen me to live according to Your truth. Let Your Word take deep root in my life and bear lasting fruit for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
